Ho Ga is a solid establishment within the PATH. It's well recognized as there's always a lineup during lunch time.
It's a no-frills Korean store with no-frills food.
I've always gotten their breaded chicken with rice, japchae, & bean sprouts. The portions are decent and great for the price.
They have other options that include bibimbap, beef bulgogi, katsu etc.
The lineup actually ensures all their foods are fresh as they're constantly cooking to refill the hot bar.
Service is great - fast and friendly. -

This is the perfect place if you're craving for some cheap Korean food right at downtown's Financial District (in PATH). Is the quality good? Meh. But is the quality good for a $7 meal? Hell ya. This place is well-known and popular for many office workers, so be ready to get in line when you come around lunch time. However, the turnover is really quick (max wait around 5-10 minutes). I had the Bulgogi and it costs $7.75 with tax included. Side dishes are also what draws people towards Hoga. They pile a lot of side dishes on your plate (choose 2). Japchae is a must. But don't pick Pasta since it doesn't go that well with meat.
One recommendation I have for them is to label their dishes so people can call out the food they want easily, instead of asking them "what's this over here", which will take up time.
You can't find similar deals anywhere else that delivers such good prices, acceptable quality, fast service and adequate food amount. -

Fish Katsu and dumplings $11.50 with tx incl. I'm so full I won't need another meal for the day. If you only want the fish Katsu it's $8.
CASH ONLY!
Location: Lower Level of the National Bank of Canada building at King and York.
Hands down the best (taste, size, price) lunch deal i have found in the financial district.
Service is very efficient, moves quickly but still friendly.
The fish was super tender on the inside but had a delicious crunch. Dumplings were just ok. I wish they had a steamed version but they only have fried.
Will certainly be back to try other dishes ! -

Started to explore what's around my office since my team moved close by. This place was recommended by my colleagues. We actually got here just after 11 and they weren't ready yet. However boss let us in.
I decided to get a chicken teriyaki with jap chae and slaw with no rush. My colleague got Korean chicken with similar fixings plus rice. And per other people's comments. For less than $10, you get a lot of food and I concur to that statement. Brought it back to office and tasted okay. My chicken did get a bit dry and luckily they used chicken thigh meat. Tried a piece of the Korean chicken my colleague got and that tasted better.
Good value for money for downtown lunch options. Will come back for other stuff. -

Probably one of the busiest and cheapest lunch places in the Financial District! Most meals are under $10 and the portions are massive!
I got a bulgogi with bean sprouts and japchae and it was probably enough for 2 people. For the price, the quality is pretty good.
Cash only and be prepared to wait!
